Organizational Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Organizational Development Manager to join our team at American Packaging Corporation. This role will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing development and ongoing programs for company employees. The successful candidate will act as a liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitate initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the needs assessment for non-production staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify and incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Design and develop HR training programs for management and employees.
- Develop learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides, and lesson plans.
- Review evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments.
- Make assessments of the effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.
- Train employees on best practices to reduce HR issues and educate on proactive trainings using the ELI Training model.
- Consult with the HR Director on trainings related to performance management, organizational, and leadership matters.
- Conduct needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
- Responsible for the Mentoring program initiatives for APC.
- Work directly with the HR Director to identify ongoing focus on Succession Planning process; utilization of 360 assessment, Franklin Covey Training, Mojo Professional consulting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven effective management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to adapt with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Bachelor's degree in training and development or organizational development or equivalent from a four-year college preferred. With three years related experience and/or training; and at least one year of management experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, preferred.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
