Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager II to join our team at DISH. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of quality and manufacturing compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to employees to assist in meeting department goals and objectives
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization
  • Assess product specifications and customer requirements
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and work instructions
  • Define processes and procedures in conjunction with manufacturing staff
  • Establish a clearly defined management system that all staff can apply
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation
  • Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks
  • Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated, and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
  • Collect and analyze performance data against defined parameters
  • Write technical and management system reports
  • Pinpoint relevant quality-related training needs
  • Responsible for setting group goals and evaluation of group performance against goals
  • Work closely with the supply chain to establish supplier quality performance criteria and monitor supplier performance
  • Assess suppliers' product specifications and quality plans
  • Manage the operation's Non-Conforming Material Management, Material Review Board (MRB), and Corrective Action processes
  • Supervise the operation's audit system
  • Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and controlling
  • Supervisory responsibility includes staffing, conducting performance appraisals, training and developing subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities assigned to this position
  • Knowledge on how to analyze Quality Data and create graphs for management if necessary.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar field and seven plus years of relevant work experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to upper management, public groups, and/or board of directors
  • SPC, DOE, 6-Sigma, DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, Knowledge of IPC standards and ISO-9001:2015 requirements, Understand 8D process and problem-solving techniques such as 5Whys, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA, Etc.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
