Job Summary

Tacoma Community College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Peer Advocate. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting new and continuing Fresh Start students, connecting them with campus and community resources, and providing guidance on program-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Fresh Start students with navigating college resources and services
  • Provide information and support on program admissions and registration procedures
  • Answer student inquiries and respond to concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with Fresh Start staff to ensure seamless support for students
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping
Requirements
  • Minimum GPA of 2.30 or higher
  • Attendance at Tacoma Community College for at least one quarter, preferably two quarters
  • Current Fresh Start student status at Tacoma Community College (preferred)
Working Conditions

This is a part-time hourly position, with varied hours up to 17 hours per week. The pay rate is $16.28 per hour. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet department needs.
