Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans. Job Description

This is an unclassified position in accordance with ORC 124.11 (A) (9). The Deputy Director serves as the agency's chief human resources officer, assisting the director in defining agency goals & objectives, developing policies & procedures, designing & scheduling programs, supervising staff as assigned & acting on behalf of & representing the director.

The Deputy Director directs development and implementation of agency-wide personnel and supervisory policies and procedures.

The incumbent oversees daily operations of Position Management, Payroll/Benefits and Process Improvement/Data units as well as cross-cutting projects, ensuring they are in compliance with civil service laws, rules and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Education &/or experience in human resources or other relevant experience as determined by the appointing authority.
