Job Summary:This is a great opportunity to collaborate with primary care physicians to ensure the best care for every patient. You will work with and manage client crisis caseloads by providing targeted behavioral and mental health services to those in need. This includes screening patients for appropriate services, crisis needs, coordination of care, and patient referrals to ongoing mental health services as needed.
Responsibilities:- Assess consumers through intakes and other interviews to determine diagnosis and treatment needs.
- Provide planned individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic services to consumers and their families.
- Work as a key member of a diagnostic team consisting of physicians, psychologists, and other mental health professionals.
- Make referrals to other community clinics, agencies, or care facilities.
- Provide case-specific consultation to other staff members, providers, families, and/or community agencies.
- Prepare client evaluations, write case summaries, reports, and letters, and maintain case records.
- Provide crisis assessments, intervention, and response during clinic hours to clients and potential walk-ins.
- Registered as a QMHP as established by the State of Oregon Mental Health Division.
- Licensed applicants must meet this criteria as outlined by the State of Oregon Mental Health Division.
- Unlicensed applicants must be registered as a QMHP or QMHP-R with Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work, recreational, art, or music therapy, or a behavioral science field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience for licensed applicants or one (1) year of relevant experience for unlicensed applicants.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
- Successful passing of the credentialing process.
- Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) I, II, III.
This position works 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Friday. Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.
This position is eligible for hybrid on-site/telework subject to the and based on the Department's business needs. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during time of offer.
