Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of our facilities
- Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, and electrical work
- Coordinate and oversee equipment repairs and preventive maintenance schedules
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to facility maintenance
- Collaborate with other departments to meet the needs of residents and staff
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education preferred
- Prior maintenance experience in a long-term care facility or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and maintenance software
