We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at K2 Space. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees, ensuring that our computer systems and networks are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support
- Provide Tier 1 & 2 support to K2 Space employees by performing the following duties:
- Support employees in using software and hardware, provide technical support when needed, and coordinate with the IT team
- Support computers running Windows, Linux, and macOS X, and software including Microsoft Entra, Azure, Intune and 365 Suite, and a range of productivity and production applications running in the cloud and on-site
- Assist in the procurement, installation, configuration, and support of computer software and hardware including diagnosing hardware issues
- Manage on-site inventory and total lifecycle of IT assets
- Perform IT onboarding & offboarding tasks in accordance with IT responsibilities
- Network support and troubleshooting for e.g., from device connectivity, wireless configurations, cabling to VLAN management
- Configure non-traditional network attached devices that interface with K2 Space infrastructure
- Track and update support desk tickets for incidents, problems, changes and other documentation
- Collaborate with the Facilities team in managing, diagnosing, and resolving issues with hardware (such as door access and video surveillance equipment), networking, and wiring
- Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in IT support and systems maintenance preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology environment
- Knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, networking, security best practices, and system performance monitoring tools
- Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment
- Comfortable working with mission critical and sensitive systems, with a sense of urgency appropriate with responsibilities
- Due to the high visibility of this position, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or engineering
- Technical certifications (i.e., Network+, MCSE, Security+)
- Hourly pay range for this non-exempt role is $28 – $43 + equity in the company
- Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level
