Position Summary:
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department and managing the housekeeping personnel. This role includes providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure that all areas meet the established quality standards. The Executive Housekeeper is also tasked with safeguarding access keys, managing inventory for linens and cleaning supplies, and reporting any operational needs. Regular inspections of guest suites and common areas are essential to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including interviewing and training new staff members. Continuously provide development opportunities for all team members.
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest accommodations and communal spaces, offering constructive feedback to the housekeeping team and management.
- Manage administrative responsibilities such as payroll, inventory control, and operational budgeting.
- Facilitate weekly departmental meetings to communicate performance metrics and guest feedback, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper inventory management of housekeeping supplies and equipment, maintaining organized storage areas.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to guests, addressing inquiries and providing information about local attractions and activities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality sector, specifically in housekeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills for budget evaluation and financial performance assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a diverse team.
- Familiarity with commercial laundry operations and equipment.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and communicate effectively. Employees may need to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds, with assistance or equipment available for heavier loads.
