Lane Valente Industries, a leading international construction and facility maintenance company, is seeking a skilled Electrical Project Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced electrical professional to oversee the installation of electrical systems in commercial and industrial construction markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating assigned helper/apprentice electricians, promoting excellent customer relations, and ensuring compliance with national and local electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate electrical project installations at job sites and project locations.
  • Directly supervise and coordinate assigned helper/apprentice electricians on a per-job basis.
  • Interact with customers to determine their needs and provide solutions.
  • Exhibit a willingness to apply oneself, learn, and develop electrical skills.
  • Apply basic electrical and construction principles and practices to solve design, development, and modification problems.
  • Complete work in accordance with national and local codes, including the latest revision of the NEC.
  • Complete work in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill daily commitments and stay on project schedule as directed by the job-site foreman.
  • Assist with loading materials, digging trenches, pulling wire, and other various tasks needed to complete the project.
  • Treat all customers, other trades personnel, vendors, fellow workers, etc. with dignity and respect.
  • Keep the job site clean before leaving and maintain a clutter-free work environment.
  • Complete paperwork, including timecards, and submit them when required.
  • Know, follow, and hold others accountable to the safety policy, program, and training of Lane Valente Industries.
  • Troubleshoot common electrical systems, including services, feeders, and branch circuits.
  • Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Prepare sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
  • Pull wiring through conduit.
  • Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric ranges or motors, and install grounding leads.
  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Repair faulty equipment or systems.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • 4 years' experience in electrical project installations.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Electrician's hand tools.
  • Ability to work with hands and multitask.
  • Advanced electrical knowledge.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and clear driving record to meet Company policy.
  • Applicable state certification.
