About the Role

Markem-Imaje, a leading provider of digital product authentication and traceability solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Project Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our solutions division, you will play a critical role in designing and configuring solutions that meet customer-specific requirements and agreed specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Configuration: Review and finalize functional specifications before starting design and configuration, ensuring that development and configuration time budgets meet expectations.
  • Project Execution: Strategically execute the project engineering process and activities aligned with the agreed project plan, utilizing Standard Solution Packages as the starting point for configuration or project engineering work.
  • Verification and Validation: Perform in-house verification of configured solutions and build detailed design specification documentation required based on project deliverables.
  • Handover and Support: Handover configured solutions for review and validation with Service Delivery Engineers, create and deliver handoff packages for customer support, and support escalated installation, FAT, and SAT issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Software, Computer, or Automation) or comparable degree.
  • Experience: Proven track record of developing, testing, and installing solutions across multiple sites and/or countries, with experience in packaging line equipment, preferably in pharmaceutical and/or food packaging industries.
  • Skills: Knowledgeable in packaging industry and supply chain automation, experience in developing software solutions, and understanding of software development and service delivery methodology.
  • Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Visio, and flow documentation tools, as well as knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and excellent troubleshooting skills.
