Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated part-time ELL teacher to join our team of passionate educators. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of language acquisition principles and a commitment to equity and social justice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Student Success: Provide targeted instruction and support to English Language Learners to ensure they meet language proficiency and content standards.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with general education teachers to develop and implement effective strategies for multilingual learners.
  • Design Engaging Lessons: Create differentiated instruction and employ various co-teaching models to foster a inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Track Progress: Use data to monitor student progress, inform instruction, and adjust teaching practices to ensure student success.
  • Develop Academic Language: Foster students' academic language proficiency alongside character development, promoting a growth mindset and a love of learning.
Qualifications
  • Language Acquisition Expertise: Strong understanding of language acquisition principles and the needs of multilingual learners.
  • Commitment to Equity: Commitment to equity, social justice, and the Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School mission.
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and valid State Certification in TESOL or Bilingual Education (preferred).
  • Experience: Experience working with multilingual learners in an urban setting preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with experience. This is a part-time role, and benefits are not included.
