Job Summary

Copa Health is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take and record vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature, and report any abnormal findings to the supervising RN.
  • Perform venipuncture to obtain blood samples and collect urine for testing, and send samples to the laboratory as needed.
  • Assist in calling in prescriptions for patients, as approved by the provider.
  • Notify patients of outside diagnostic test results and schedule follow-up appointments as directed.
  • Perform other clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by the supervising RN.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification or completion of an approved MA training program.
  • One year of behavioral health work experience preferred.
  • Valid Arizona state driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and other required background checks.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
