Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist for a Residential Skilled Nursing Facility

Employment Type: Full Time

Role Overview:

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for the planning, organization, development, and management of Speech Language Pathology services in compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as directives from the Administrator, ensuring the highest quality of care for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech therapy services and make referrals as necessary, adhering to established practice standards and departmental protocols.
  • Conduct evaluations and gather essential data for effective treatment planning and execution.
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans that outline targeted objectives, including both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on appropriate speech-language techniques to facilitate the integration of therapeutic goals into daily routines.
  • Complete accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with CMS standards using NetHealth EMR systems.
  • Oversee and implement proper procedures for FEES/MBS in collaboration with site programs.
  • Engage in screening processes to ensure the timely and clinically excellent identification of residents' needs.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certification of Clinical Competency.
  • Active SLP license in the relevant state(s).
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.
