Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist at a Dedicated Skilled Nursing Facility

Employment Type: Full Time

Role Overview:

The primary objective of this role is to aid in the planning, organization, development, and management of Speech Language Pathology services, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as directives from the Administrator, to guarantee the highest standard of resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional speech therapy services and make referrals as necessary, adhering to established best practices and departmental protocols.
  • Conduct assessments and gather essential data for effective treatment planning and execution.
  • Create comprehensive treatment plans that outline target objectives, as well as short-term and long-term goals.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on effective speech-language strategies to facilitate the integration of therapeutic goals into daily routines.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with CMS standards using NetHealth EMR systems.
  • Oversee and implement appropriate protocols for FEES/MBS in collaboration with site programs.
  • Engage in screening processes to ensure residents' needs are met promptly and with clinical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certification of Clinical Competency.
  • Active SLP license in the relevant state(s).
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.
