About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grants Coordinator to join our team at Butterfly Pavilion. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our $3 million grant portfolio, identifying and evaluating funding opportunities, and supporting proposal preparation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grant Management: Maintain and update our grants database with application and report deadlines, submission dates, application documents, awards, and grant contracts.
  • Funding Research: Research and identify new prospective foundations, grant programs, and governmental funding opportunities.
  • Grant Evaluation: Evaluate and prioritize grant prospects based on eligibility, fit, and potential funding impact.
  • Donor Relations: Work with our Donor Relations Coordinator to ensure prompt funder acknowledgment and accurate funder recognition.
  • Communication: Communicate professionally with prospects, donors, vendors, and teammates through verbal and written communications.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare materials for and write letters of inquiry, proposals, reports, and informational materials to engage funders.
  • Meeting Preparation: Provide research and meeting preparation for our Sr. Grants Manager and VP of Donor Relations, CEO as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with others to solve problems, achieve common goals, and positive results.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in grants programs and working with a foundation/donor database.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but relevant work experience in lieu of degree is accepted.
  • Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, great attention to detail, the ability to process and maintain confidential information, and develop strong relationships with both internal and external constituencies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
