Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grant Administrative Specialist to join our team at the State of South Carolina. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate PCAS activities, including answering staff questions and providing support.
  • Monitor help desk tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Track and address missing time entries.
  • Create, key, and/or approve journal entries for the Subrecipient Compliance and General Ledger sections.
  • Perform various reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with entering retroactive payroll corrections related to funding.
  • Prepare bulk mailouts and track responses.
  • Review and score risk assessments.
  • Enter Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) reports into the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act Subaward Reporting System (FSRS).
  • Ensure all audit reports are received and documented.
  • Facilitate desk reviews of subrecipients.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.
  • A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.
  • At least two (2) years' experience in federal/state/private grants management, and general ledger.
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets (MS Excel) and database applications (MS Access).
