Louis Plung & Company is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading tax projects and engagements, managing a team of tax professionals, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple tax projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to ensure timely completion.
- Lead and develop a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client savings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tax needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to the team.
- Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with clients, partners, and tax authorities to resolve tax-related issues and provide updates on project status.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Active certified public accountant's license or other LPC-approved certification.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in public accounting, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Proficient in tax software and research tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
