Role Overview:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities related to the procurement of products for sales and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review open sales orders, purchase orders, vendor claims, and transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures.
  • Consult with regional buyers and vendors regarding product information, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stock outs and minimize excess inventory.
  • Conduct cycle counts to mitigate inventory shrinkage.
  • Oversee freight expenses and approve invoices for payment.
  • Address Accounts Payable discrepancies promptly.
  • Supervise the routing, loading, and preparation of orders for shipment and delivery.
  • Train new employees on warehouse and distribution processes.
  • Collaborate with quality control personnel to address defective goods and implement corrective actions.
  • Support sales teams in achieving sales objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations within an industrial distribution or warehouse setting.
  • Experience managing operations for a wholesale warehouse facility valued at $5-10 million.
  • Proven ability to lead a team of 5 or more employees.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Inventory Management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial product lines such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, and construction materials is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
