Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage various construction projects for James Talcott Construction, a 3rd Generation Owned, Commercial Construction Contractor founded in Great Falls, Montana in 1927.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure effective project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure on-time completion and meet client expectations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and adherence to safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Coordinate with clients to address any concerns or issues that arise during construction, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage project documentation, including subcontracts, permits, and change orders, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet specifications and client expectations.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status and milestones, ensuring transparency and open communication.
  • Review and interpret project schematics, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and expertise.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise promptly, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
  • Utilize construction management software for project tracking and reporting, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project information.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction project management, with a strong understanding of contract management and negotiation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately, with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Knowledge of construction management software and technology, with the ability to utilize tools for project tracking and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field (preferred), with certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) a plus.
