Simulation Lab Instructor

West Coast University is seeking a highly qualified Nursing Faculty member to join our team as a Simulation Lab Instructor - Obstetrics. As a key member of our student-centered community, you will have the opportunity to share your success story with the next generation of nurses and make a meaningful impact on their careers.
Key Responsibilities- Mentorship and Guidance: Serve as a mentor, role model, and facilitator who provides guidance and academic support for students.
- Teaching Excellence: Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, the teaching/learning process, and for individual students.
- Curriculum Development: Apply your skills and experience to your assigned teaching schedule and participate in the development of courses and curriculum.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in and contribute to assessment activities of courses and programs via a continuous improvement plan set forth by the University.
- Professional Growth: Regularly contribute to the improvement of class materials and syllabi within a shared governance culture.
- Teaching Methodologies: Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students, with the intent to facilitate observable evidence of student fulfillment of prescribed learning outcomes.
- Scholarly Activities: Maintain scholarly activities and participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies.
- Student Success: Advance our commitment and focus on the students we serve, and their success as healthcare professionals.
- Technology Integration: Fully leverage our innovative technologies and resources, such as our Simulation and Innovation Labs.
- Education: Master's degree in nursing.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and a minimum of one year experience in the field in which they teach.
- Licensure: Professional nurse licensure required.
