Your Contributions Will Include:

  • Acting as a mentor and role model, providing essential guidance and academic support to students.
  • Exhibiting passion for teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for individual students.
  • Utilizing your expertise to effectively manage your assigned teaching schedule.
  • Engaging in assessment activities related to courses and programs, contributing to a continuous improvement plan established by the University.
  • Regularly enhancing class materials and syllabi within a collaborative governance framework.
  • Employing diverse teaching methodologies to facilitate observable evidence of student achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Maintaining active scholarly pursuits.
  • Participating in professional development and service in alignment with university policies.
  • Advancing our commitment to student success as future healthcare professionals.
  • Fully utilizing innovative technologies and resources, including our Simulation and Innovation Labs.
  • If involved in clinical settings, you will:
    • Take full responsibility for students in clinical environments.
    • Clarify clinical expectations with students.
    • Communicate student placements and expectations with clinical facility staff.
    • Guide students in utilizing resources for clinical preparation.
    • Assess student knowledge and skills to ensure patient safety and quality care.
    • Facilitate pre- and post-conference discussions to connect theoretical content with clinical experiences.
    • Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance and overall evaluations at midterm and semester's end.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with online learning management systems to enhance student engagement.
  • Adherence to state, federal, and local regulations regarding educational programs and compliance standards.
  • Clinical RN status with a minimum of two years of direct patient care experience and at least one year in the teaching field.

Educational Requirements:

  • Education and experience must comply with state regulations and the rules of state authorization agencies.
  • A Master's degree in nursing is required.
  • Professional nursing licensure is mandatory.

Compensation:

CA Salary Range: USD $95, USD $138,553.54 /Yr.

Outside CA Salary Range: USD $83, USD $121,685.23 /Yr.
