About Us
Pickler Accounting Advisors is in search of a qualified CPA to represent our firm with integrity to both potential and current clients. You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional service.

Role Responsibilities
The CPA will undertake a dual role within our firm.

Firstly, as a vital contributor in a smaller accounting practice, you will be responsible for generating business and executing the tasks associated with our client portfolio.

Secondly, when required, you will also provide services to our affiliated entities, ensuring effective collaboration with their leadership to meet shared objectives.

This role necessitates all relevant certifications and expertise to engage with our existing clientele promptly. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and other essential technologies is crucial.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who is deeply committed to client service. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in tax preparation within a public accounting environment, along with a solid background in business management.
  • Familiarity with Drake Tax preparation software is advantageous, and a quick adaptability to new software is essential.
  • A foundational understanding of general ledger accounting.
  • The capability to maintain organized 'due date' lists.
  • Consistent client engagement, including managing phone inquiries, responding to emails, and assisting walk-in clients.
  • Proficiency in tax planning and preparation, software implementation, IRS issue resolution, bookkeeping, and business advisory services.
  • Exceptional information-gathering skills during client consultations.
  • Oversight of staff members, including other CPAs and administrative personnel.
  • The ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • A willingness to commit to extended hours during peak tax seasons.
  • Experience in pro-bono work for non-profit organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing tax documentation.
  • A keen ability to prepare and/or review all client 1040 tax returns, as well as 1065s and 1120s.
  • Independent problem-solving skills, with accountability for multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • A collaborative spirit, maintaining a positive attitude as a team member.

Communication Skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a friendly demeanor and effective time management abilities to handle various deadlines.
