POSITION SUMMARY: This role provides essential administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Collaborating with the HR Manager on various projects, the individual will handle clerical, secretarial, and administrative tasks related to HR functions. Responsibilities include public interaction, customer assistance, data management, and record maintenance. The position may also require serving as a backup for other HR responsibilities as needed.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering trust and a positive environment; strive to meet and exceed departmental objectives.
  • Organize and manage specific projects as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to FCC policies and serve as a role model for all staff; HR functions are held to a higher standard of accountability.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of HR-related issues, including benefits, hiring practices, job descriptions, performance evaluations, and the disciplinary process, to effectively assist employees with their HR needs.
  • Assist with managing HR email correspondence and scanning as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit high interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Possess knowledge of office administration procedures.
  • Operate standard office equipment proficiently.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Apply common sense to execute detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be customer service-oriented and collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Notify regional managers of new applicants regularly.
  • Inform team members of expired Liability Insurance and Driver's Licenses weekly.
  • Distribute Offer Letters daily.
  • Add applicants to the New Hire Queue consistently.
  • Conduct monthly Employee LEIE Checks.
  • Prepare weekly Turnover Reports.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance of Bulletin Boards.
  • This position is classified as safety-sensitive.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications is essential.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of employees and managers.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Extensive knowledge of computer software including Windows Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
