About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Design Manager to lead our Consumer Savings strategy across the DoorDash USA mobile apps and website. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for defining our promotion system, seasonal and holiday experiences, and creating a delightful user experience that drives customer engagement and loyalty.

This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of efforts across the company to address the problem of affordability, and you will be leading the effort to define the holistic strategy and execute on that vision – influencing countless teams across the company.

You will report directly to the Head of Growth and Engagement Design and will be responsible for leading a team of designers to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our Consumer Savings strategy, defining the vision and roadmap for our promotion system, seasonal and holiday experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and marketing, to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Recruit, mentor, and coach a team of designers to help them grow and develop their skills.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and preferences, and use this insight to inform design decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Work closely with the Head of Growth and Engagement Design to ensure that our design efforts are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with a minimum of 3 years in team leadership and management.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business results.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex product ecosystems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
