Job Title: Counselor for Children's Residential Program

About the Role:
Boys and Girls Country of Houston is seeking a skilled Counselor to join our Clinical Services team. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in addressing the emotional and psychological needs of children in our residential program. You will work closely with our Houseparents and Program Team to provide individual, sibling, family, and group counseling sessions, as well as create and update client treatment plans. Your expertise will help our children overcome trauma and separation from their families, and achieve a more stable and fulfilling life.

Responsibilities:
Provide individual, sibling, family, and group counseling sessions
Input counseling session notes within 48 hours of session
Create and update client treatment plans quarterly
Administer clinical assessments as needed
Weekly consultation with Clinical Director about clients on case load
Consultation with Houseparents and Case Managers as necessary

Requirements:
Master's degree from an accredited university
Clinical licensure such as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
Minimum of 2 years working with children and families in a counseling capacity
Fully proficient in Microsoft Office Environment
Ability to work flexible evening hours
Must be cleared through a criminal background and FBI fingerprint investigation
All staff who have contact with students must be tested for tuberculosis before the staff is assigned a responsibility to care for students
Must be cleared through a drug test panel
