Job Title: Counselor for Children's Residential Program

At Boys and Girls Country of Houston, we are seeking a skilled Counselor to join our Clinical Services team. As a Counselor, you will play a vital role in addressing the complex needs of our children and families.

Job Summary:

The Counselor will provide individual, sibling, family, and group counseling sessions to support the emotional and psychological well-being of our children. You will work closely with the Houseparents and Program Team to develop and implement treatment plans, administer clinical assessments, and provide consultation and support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling sessions to children and families, including individual, sibling, family, and group sessions
  • Develop and update client treatment plans quarterly
  • Administer clinical assessments as needed
  • Consult with Houseparents and Case Managers as necessary
  • Participate in weekly consultation with the Clinical Director

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university
  • Clinical licensure (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families in a counseling capacity
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexible evening hours
  • Clearance through a criminal background and FBI fingerprint investigation
  • Clearance through a drug test panel
