Occupational Therapist Opportunity at Thom Child and Family Services

We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services in Westfield, MA. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with infants and toddlers who have developmental delays or are at risk for delays, providing individualized and culturally humble services to support their growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments to identify developmental needs and goals.
  • Provide direct services and activities tailored to the child's developmental stage and needs.
  • Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Document progress, assessments, and correspondence as required.
  • Provide individual and group interventions to support cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development.
  • Assess family and child strengths, concerns, and progress, and provide supportive professional assistance to families.
  • Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development and assist families in advocating for their child's needs.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
  • Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
  • Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
  • Good computer skills and strong documentation skills.
  • Current driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
