Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage production planning, supply chain activities, and manufacturing operations to achieve optimal customer, business, and employee scorecards.
  • Plan, manage, and review production operations to ensure safe and efficient output, quality objectives, and expenditure management.
  • Monitor and forecast resource inputs, and implement continuous improvement tools and methods to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire team members to achieve multiple objectives with a sense of urgency, while maintaining high morale and employee relations.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentoring skills to develop talent and acquire new employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • Working knowledge of Lean systems and tools, leadership/mentoring skills, and prior supervisor experience are desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Listen and communicate effectively with production and office employees.
  • Must be able to draw conclusions and make fair judgments on employee issues.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with customers and coworkers.

Work Environment:

This position is based in the OPW Knappco facility in Hamilton, OH.
