The Access Services Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the operational functions of the CSU Health Network by delivering exceptional administrative assistance and customer service. This position serves as the initial point of contact for students seeking health services, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Engagement: Facilitate patient check-in processes through the electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Insurance Verification: Confirm student eligibility and gather essential billing information to facilitate timely insurance claims.
- Appointment Management: Schedule patient appointments based on requests and clinical needs, optimizing provider schedules for efficiency.
- Customer Support: Provide assistance to patients and staff, addressing inquiries and managing walk-in traffic to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive environment for students.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of relevant clerical experience that includes customer service and administrative support in a healthcare setting. Preferred candidates will have experience in mental health environments and familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
