Job Title: Building Support Specialist

Join our team as a Building Support Specialist at Beaumont Elementary School. This 10-month position is responsible for providing support to staff, students, and parents in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist staff in monitoring the cafeteria and playground
  • Maintain good discipline within assigned areas
  • Assist in keeping assigned areas looking orderly
  • Provide supervision and protective security for school buildings and grounds
  • Enforce school rules while respecting individual rights
  • Initiate preventive measures to reduce delinquent acts and school rule violations
  • Assist with emergency situations as directed
  • Provide personal visibility and supervision in hallways and throughout the building
  • Report unauthorized persons on school premises to administration

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures
  • Presentation of a professional, courteous, and tactful image
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, and district staff

Reports To: Building Principal

Workday/Week: Monday - Friday, 10:45 AM - 1:30 PM

Compensation: $12.55 per hour
