SNAP Facilitator

At Youth and Family Alternatives, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SNAP Facilitator to join our team. As a SNAP Facilitator, you will play a critical role in administering the SNAP (Stop Now and Plan) curriculum to either the parent or child group during the 13-week SNAP group cycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend DJJ 5-day core SNAP training, including mock role-plays.
- Participate in intake and assessment processes.
- Commit to SNAP program values.
- Join weekly pre-briefing and debriefing sessions.
- Attend additional SNAP meetings as needed.
- Build rapport with clients and maintain high satisfaction rates with families.
- Conduct thorough client intakes and assessments.
- Maintain consistent contact with clients.
- Complete paperwork on time.
- Transport clients as needed using a personal vehicle.
- Visit external sites for service provision and ensure safe transportation.
- Demonstrate cultural competency in service provision.
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Actively listen, validate, and show patience in group settings.
- Assist in gathering intake paperwork and performing assessments at intake/discharge.
- Meet families in homes or community locations.
- Set up and conduct pre-briefing for classes/cycles.
- Complete debriefing and pack materials after group sessions.
- Assist with Weekly Client Group Reminder Log and Group Weekly Evaluation Record.
- Conduct makeup sessions as needed.
- Participate in service provision meetings and work sessions.
- Provide input on program enhancements and redesigns.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Trained and authorized to access protected health information.
We are seeking a candidate with a high school diploma and 10+ years of experience related to engaging, teaching, and training in the child welfare field. Experience working with at-risk children and families is a must. Experience in CINS/FINS, Non-Residential, and Residential/Shelter settings is a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and statewide as needed; ability to bend, lift, and carry 30 pounds.
