We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Process Technician to join our team at Michelin North America. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for maintaining the extrusion process in our facility, coordinating the industrialization of new products to meet tire specifications, and ensuring the process is optimized for maximum output while respecting quality aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design tooling using Solidworks to meet product specifications
- Create specifications to be used in the manufacturing process
- Conduct tests to ensure tooling is creating quality products for production
- Study potential improvements for process performance
- Monitor quality results to ensure products are performing as expected
- Study and industrialize new materials for use in the production process
- Work with other departments to resolve quality issues
- Lead/Participate in quality planning for products, materials, processes, and methods
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving skills and process/product relationship knowledge
- B.S. degree in a scientific field and 0-5 years' experience in process engineering or quality control manufacturing environment
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to become proficient in internal software systems
