Job Description

The Framing Automation Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Framing Automation Shop at AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORPORATION. Key responsibilities include managing shop operations, planning assembly procedures, and directing the work of others. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in the field and be familiar with various concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, experience with assembly and production tasks, including the use of saws and hand tools, is required. Forklift driving experience is also a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily shop operations, including cutting, tapping, cleaning, wrapping, and assembling aluminum extrusion.
  • Plan and direct the work of others, relying on experience and judgment to accomplish goals.
  • Train employees on safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are enforced.
  • Verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established procedures.
  • Integrate electronic and pneumatic components for automated machinery, systems, and conveyors.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project management to resolve issues on the floor.
  • Recommend process improvements where needed.
  • Manage inventory, including cycle counting and ordering consumable items.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, including assembly, kitting, cutting, and other production tasks.
  • Provide staffing and scheduling data to management and coordinators.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Requires supervisory experience in the field or a related area.
  • Familiar with various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
  • Experience with assembly and production tasks, including the use of saws and hand tools.
  • Forklift driving experience is a plus.
