About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Pediatric Nephrology team at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to pediatric patients suffering from renal disorders, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
- Synthesize data and develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies as needed.
- Demonstrate technical/procedural skills relevant to the specialty and training.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on current care and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to improve clinical and system practice performance through quality-related initiatives.
- Participate in research projects and protocols, applying evidence-based best practices to patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Master's degree or higher in nursing, completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program, and licensure as an APRN with prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. Current BLS and PALS certification is also required. One year of pediatric nephrology experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits include a PPO medical plan, paid time off, retirement programs through the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), and tuition reimbursement.
