Position Overview:
The Culinary Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Retail Dining & Catering. This role is essential for the daily management of all retail dining locations and will provide support to catering operations as necessary. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, execution, and oversight of the annual budget for the department.
- Play a pivotal role in organizing high-profile events, showcasing creativity and enthusiasm in food and beverage presentation.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service and a positive dining experience.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of hourly, student, and temporary staff, promoting a customer-centric culture.
- Maintain a focus on immediate service requirements while aligning with financial objectives.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of one year of experience in the food or hospitality sector, or an Associate's Degree with three years of relevant experience. Equivalent military service and training will also be considered.
A valid New York State Class D License is required to operate company vehicles, or the ability to obtain one.
Proficiency in computer systems and restaurant point-of-sale technology is essential.
