Job Summary

This skilled position involves the installation, programming, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, and servicing standalone and networked fire alarm systems and other related building system products at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and program fire alarm systems, including standalone and networked systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, including low voltage circuit troubles
  • Configure and commission fire alarm systems to meet customer and contract specifications
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to ensure compliance with customer and contract specifications
  • Perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and after hours, to meet customer requirements
  • Travel overnight may be required
  • Obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems
  • NICET level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
  • Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures
