This position involves developing and maintaining business connections by addressing the financial service requirements of commercial clients while effectively managing a portfolio of banking relationships.
In this role, you will engage with customers, vendors, and bank personnel, ensuring professional and courteous interactions that contribute to the bank's overall efficiency and reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve or surpass annual loan production targets established by management.
- Gather loan applications and conduct client interviews. Assess financial data to evaluate creditworthiness, pricing, and loan structure, ensuring prompt and equitable service.
- Verify that all loan documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations and bank policies prior to closing.
- Monitor loan performance and proactively address any credit issues. Manage loan accounts to ensure current documentation and performance standards are met.
- Stay informed about lending programs and regulatory changes. Participate in training sessions for commercial lending.
- Respond to new loan requests efficiently, making decisions within lending limits or recommending actions to the loan committee.
- Sales: Meet or exceed departmental loan production goals while maintaining a delinquency ratio below 1%. Promote bank products and services and maintain a proactive customer outreach schedule.
- Maintain open communication with management, sharing insights and fostering teamwork.
- Prepare monthly reports in a timely manner.
Additional Duties:
- Deliver exceptional service to all customers, both internal and external, by actively listening and addressing their needs.
- Engage in required training and participate in team meetings and community events.
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, maintaining confidentiality and a positive attitude.
- Complete mandatory training courses within designated timeframes.
- Adhere to all company policies and legal regulations, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other relevant laws.
- Represent the bank positively, ensuring a tidy workspace and customer privacy.
- Consistently demonstrate reliable attendance.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in lending or relevant education.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three to five years of experience in commercial lending.
- Moderate banking knowledge.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily conducted indoors in a climate-controlled office with moderate noise levels. Occasional travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
This role may require sitting for extended periods, using hands for repetitive tasks, and occasional lifting of light objects.
