The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for assisting in the reception, organization, and pricing of all products while ensuring a tidy and appealing merchandise display and overall store cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:

  • Customer Interaction:
    Provide a positive representation of Ace Hardware by proactively assisting customers with their inquiries and needs. Greet customers upon entry and thank them upon their departure, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ensure all communications are handled promptly and courteously, and escalate any unresolved customer complaints to management. Develop strong product knowledge and familiarity with store layout to offer personalized service that aims to exceed customer expectations.
  • Store Operations:
    Contribute to a positive, professional, and safe working environment. Assist in the receiving, checking, and stocking of merchandise throughout the store, while maintaining appropriate back stock levels. Support daily upkeep and organization of the sales floor, stockroom, and outdoor merchandise areas. Help ensure that promotional displays and signage are current and effectively presented. Participate in merchandise resets and assist Department Specialists with tasks such as pricing adjustments and special orders. Uphold professionalism in appearance and conduct, and engage in store meetings to discuss operations and improvements.

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Previous retail experience is preferred. The role involves physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting items up to 25 lbs.
