Pediatric Radiology Faculty Position

Job Summary

The Medical College of Georgia's Department of Radiology is seeking a dedicated full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor specializing in Pediatric Radiology. This role encompasses both patient care and the education of medical students and residents. Key Responsibilities

Academic Duties:
  • Engage in Radiology Resident Categorical courses, Case Conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and clinical rotations for medical students.
  • Present at least once annually at a national conference or publish in a peer-reviewed journal.
Clinical Duties:
  • Achieve an RVU target of 5,337, aligned with the 65th percentile AAARAD benchmark.
  • Participate in pediatric call responsibilities, typically every fourth night.

Qualifications

MD/DO degree; completion of a Radiology residency; fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology.

Assistant Professor: Early career faculty with relevant postgraduate training.
Associate Professor: Mid-career faculty with a minimum of five years at the Assistant Professor level or equivalent experience.
Professor: Senior faculty with at least five years at the Associate Professor level or equivalent experience.

All candidates must meet the employment qualifications set by USG institutions, including:
  • Compliance with SACSCOC accreditation standards;
  • Demonstrated teaching ability;
  • Evidence of scholarly activity and competence in assigned duties;
  • Successful prior experience, with exceptions for new entrants into academia who meet other criteria;
  • Positive personal attributes assessed through interviews and references.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, year-round position with a commitment of 1.0 FTE. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
