We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Animal Research Technician to join our team at Yoh. As an Animal Research Technician, you will be responsible for performing animal husbandry and health care in accordance with experimental protocol and Animal Welfare Act/Regulations. This includes providing animal care, maintaining records, and assisting with scientific procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide animal care, including provision of feed, water, and enrichment materials.
- Maintain records of animal care, preventive medicine, and study protocol-driven documents.
- Assist with scientific procedures, including animal restraint and manipulation.
- Recognize and report animal health issues to the Site Veterinarian or Group/Team Leader.
- Conduct daily animal health and welfare assessments.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent degree (GED).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
