Job Summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing audio visual systems in county courtrooms, huddle rooms, and digital signage.

Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate new video and audio equipment to enhance our digital signage solution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system integration, including drawing sets, parts lists, and system configuration details.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve AV hardware and software issues.
  • Set up and operate video cameras, audio equipment, and manage troubleshooting of AV and networking equipment.
  • Provide guidance on storing, transporting, and assembling AV equipment.
  • Develop and maintain standards and processes for the selection, implementation, and maintenance of AV installations across all County Departments/Offices.
Requirements
  • Expertise in AV protocols and industry standards.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy audio equipment.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in AV systems, installation, configuration, and design.
  • Four years of job-related experience.
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Extron, QSC, and other related technologies.
Benefits

Fort Bend County offers a competitive salary range of $31.01 - $38.81 hourly based on qualifications. All full-time and part-time employees are members of the Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS).
