Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist/Clerical to join our team at Riverhead Building Supply. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and supporting sales transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and responding to customer inquiries
  • Taking messages and directing calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Assisting sales team with filing, data entry, and order tracking
  • Making change for counter sales and handling cash transactions
  • Providing administrative support to management and other departments
  • Receiving and processing special orders, POs, and RTVs
  • Performing basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and record-keeping

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible hours
