Job Title: Police Recruit

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Recruits. As a Police Recruit, you will have the opportunity to serve and protect our community while developing your skills and knowledge in law enforcement.

About the Role:

The Police Recruit position is an entry-level position that requires a strong commitment to public service and a passion for law enforcement. As a Police Recruit, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Attending a POST certified Basic Police Academy under the sponsorship of the City of Tustin Police Department
  • Completing coursework mandated by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training and/or the local Police Academy Advisory Committee
  • Participating in field training and other training programs to develop your skills and knowledge in law enforcement
  • Working closely with experienced police officers to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills
Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be physically capable of performing all tasks required of a Tustin Police Officer
  • Have a valid California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation and polygraph examination
  • Be able to pass a psychological and medical examination
