Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant's operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Team Management
- Lead and motivate a team of staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff members to meet the needs of the restaurant.
- Customer Service
- Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
- Monitor and address customer complaints, working to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
- Administrative Tasks
- Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing labor costs.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or a management position in the hospitality industry.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading English.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or a related field preferred.
- Experience with Technology
- Proficiency in using software applications, such as Google Suites and POS systems.
- Cultural Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of Italian culture, cuisine, and alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional bending, squatting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
