We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at ECS Midwest, LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests on construction materials, interpreting test data, and preparing reports and summaries under the direction of the laboratory manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests on construction materials, including soils and concrete
  • Interpret test data and prepare reports and summaries
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized lab, including calibration of laboratory equipment and maintenance of calibration records
  • Compile test results, data input, and data processing
  • Assist with other laboratory functions as necessary and assist with field work as needed
Work Environment

The employee may be exposed to weather conditions such as wet and/or humid environments, cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. Noise levels will typically be moderate to moderately loud. Some weekend and overtime work may be required.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to use their hands to handle, finger or feel; reach, climb or balance; crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit. The employee must also be able to see and smell, including close, distance and peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to focus. Lifting - The employee will regularly lift and/or move/shake up to 40 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds; and occasionally move more than 100 pounds.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 0 - 2 years of experience
  • Ability to carry lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height
  • Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites
