Job Overview

As a Nighttime Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff during the overnight hours. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to support the operational needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities and services to assist guests effectively.
  • Manage deliveries received outside of regular business hours, adhering to established hotel protocols.
  • Monitor surveillance systems as directed to ensure the safety of the property.
  • Investigate alarm activations and follow appropriate procedures.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property using designated equipment, documenting all activities and observations.
  • Ensure guest room doors are secured and assist guests with access in accordance with privacy policies.
  • Respond promptly to incidents involving guests or employees, following departmental guidelines.
  • Adhere to state regulations and company policies regarding the management of intoxicated guests.
  • Document incidents of vehicle accidents or thefts, gathering necessary information.
  • Assist guests with the safekeeping of their valuables, following established procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all security and hotel-related reports and documents.
  • Provide support to other departments as needed to enhance guest service.
  • Deliver security services for events and meetings as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role, interacting with the public.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests, management, and colleagues.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform duties with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.
  • Capability to ensure the safety of all individuals and property.
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in challenging situations.
  • Proficiency in maintaining security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Skill in enforcing hotel standards and policies with staff.
