Position Overview:
The Construction Project Coordinator will assist the project management team in the planning, execution, and completion of pipeline and facility construction initiatives within the Oil & Gas sector.
This position demands exceptional organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a background in construction project coordination and a robust understanding of project management methodologies.Primary Responsibilities:
1. Support project managers in the organization and scheduling of project tasks.
2. Facilitate project meetings, including the preparation of agendas, documentation of minutes, and follow-up on action items.
3. Maintain and revise project documentation, such as contracts, change orders, submittals, and progress reports.
4. Monitor project financials, track expenditures, and generate financial reports for management review.
5. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are fulfilled.
6. Assist in the development and submission of project proposals, bids, and related documentation.
7. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
8. Maintain control of project documentation, ensuring all documents are current and easily retrievable.
9. Aid in the preparation of project closeout documents and final reports.
10. Support timely project billing and reporting processes.
11. Provide administrative assistance to the project team as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, or a related discipline preferred, but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, ideally within the construction field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with construction and industry regulations is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the foresight to anticipate and address issues.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills to contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information with care.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with team members, management, vendors, and clients.
