Position Overview:

As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This position demands a high level of independent decision-making, clinical insight, and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary pharmacotherapy practices. You will work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare teams, and patients to enhance health outcomes through appropriate medication management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical care and medication management.
  • Engage in independent clinical decision-making and apply clinical judgment.
  • Stay updated with the latest pharmacotherapy literature and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans.
  • Participate in the evaluation and improvement of pharmacy services.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
  • PharmD or Master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensure from the West Virginia Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy or a related specialty is preferred.
  • Completion of a Specialty Residency is preferred.
  • No prior experience is necessary; however, 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is advantageous.
