Marshall Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients and prepare them for physician examinations, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the scope of licensed practical nursing standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and assist with the preparation of equipment, and aid physicians during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
- Communication: Handle telephone inquiries from patients regarding test results, medications, and treatment instructions as directed by the physician.
- Referrals and Hospitalizations: Arrange for hospitalization, referrals, or performance of special procedures for patients.
- Clinical Environment: Maintain a clean, attractive work area and keep clinical areas stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
- Instrument Cleaning: Clean and sterilize medical instruments, surgical trays, etc.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of a medical assistant program or school of nursing. MA candidates must be able to obtain certification.
- Experience: Prior experience is required.
