Job Title:

Admission and Discharge Nurse

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Admission and Discharge Registered Nurse to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth patient flow by assessing needs and understanding of care after discharge, collaborating with inpatient directors, and facilitating timely admissions and discharges.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with throughput by coordinating effective patient flow
  • Serve as liaison between patients and care teams to coordinate discharge care
  • Document patient teaching, admission education, and discharge planning with multidisciplinary team members
Requirements:
  • Nursing graduate with RN Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience preferred
  • BLS certification required
Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience
